Sean Pascoe spent his youth exploring the Gulf of Mexico coastline and the woodshops and studios of the University of South Florida’s Fine Arts Department. Recreational etching, painting, fishing, and sketching throughout his youth, Sean filled his sketchbooks with images of the creatures he observed on land and sea. He eventually left Tampa for the University of Florida in Gainesville where he evolved into a “real” gator and an avid gator fan and fisherman. His love for fishing on the Gulf and the Atlantic won him the title “Sean-A-Sea.” After graduating from UF with a Bachelor in Psychology, Sean entered the world of finance spending ten years as a stockbroker in Boca Raton Florida where he religiously fished the Atlantic for Tarpon, Sailfish Snook and other species.
In 2002, Sean went to work with his uncle as an executive in commercial construction. Back in the familiar world of building and drafting, Sean rediscovered his creative roots. His unique process incorporates mixed media: acrylic on wood, etched glass, gorilla glue, polyurethane, LED lights, fluorocarbon, hooks, nails, (you name it) and boxed window frames that personally involve viewers in rediscovering the scaly subjects and finely detailed renderings of various species of fish and/or “passion” scenes. Sean’s one of kind vision and process brings the images to life for the viewer, creating movement, intrigue and light. Contact Sean for a private viewing.
